CrossfireX gets release date, gameplay at The Game Awards 2021
After a long delay, CrossfireX will hit during a packed February.

- CrossfireX is set to release on Feb. 10, 2022 alongside just about every other game in existence.
CrossfireX has finally reappeared during The Game Awards 2021, debuting gameplay footage alongside a release date for Feb. 10, 2022. CrossfireX will have a free-to-play multiplayer component along with a paid single-player campaign that's being co-developed with Remedy. Smilegate Entertainment, the studio behind the original Crossfire, is focusing on the multiplayer.
Though CrossfireX was set to launch in 2020, it was delayed into 2021 before finally getting this Feb. 4 release date. It will support Xbox Smart Delivery so if you buy it on Xbox One you can a free upgrade on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. February is already a packed month with a Destiny expansion, Dying Light, Elden Ring, and Horizon Forbidden West.
