Create amazing images from your Nokia Lumia Windows Phone with PicsArt
PicsArt is a popular photo editor over on iOS and Android platforms and is now available for the Nokia Lumia 1020 and 1520 Windows Phone. PicsArt is part photo editor, part photo sharing network and part free-hand drawing.
You can edit freshly captured images, pull images from your Windows Phone Pictures Hub, or download images from your Facebook, Flickr, SkyDrive, Picasa, Google or Dropbox accounts.
There is little doubt that PicsArt is a feature rich photo editor that should be well received by the Windows Phone crowd.
The app can be used as a stand-alone editor or you can register with PicsArt through your Windows Live ID, Facebook ID, Twitter ID, Google ID or set up an independent PicsArt ID to share images on the local network. There are also PicsArt photo competitions that you can submit your best work to.
From there you have a wide assortment of effects filters you can apply to your photos, crop, resize and adjust exposure variables to your images. There is also a draw tool that lets you draw free hand on your images or create a new drawing on a blank slate.
If you do not see the effects filter that fits just right, there is a wide range of clipart collections and filter effects available in the PicsArt Store. Filter and clipart collections available include themes such as Christmas, Retro, Tattoo, Summer, Wedding and more.
In just tinkering with PicsArt for a short time, it makes an excellent first impression and is a welcome addition to the Windows Phone photography app lineup.
