A proper Crash Bandicoot sequel was finally released last year, with Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time from Toys for Bob and Activision releasing for Xbox One and PS4 on October 2, 2020. Now, Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time is coming to Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S on March 12.
This new version of the game features much faster loading thanks to the advanced SSDs, as well as 4K resolution on Xbox Series X. In addition to the higher-end Xbox consoles, Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time is coming to PS5 and Nintendo Switch on the same day. Activision also confirmed that a PC release via Battle.net is coming at some point later in 2021, though no exact date was given.
If you already own Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time on Xbox One ort PS4, you can get a free upgrade to the Xbox Series X, S or PS5 version at no extra cost, except in Japan.
