Corsair is making a few updates to its range of gaming-oriented FPS/MOBA mice today. The Glaive RGB is getting a Pro version with a new optical sensor that goes up to 18,000DPI, and the Ironclaw is going wireless.
Corsair says it implemented feedback from thousands of Glaive RGB users when designing the Pro version, with the mouse coming in at 115 — or 10% lighter than the standard model. The Glaive RGB Pro also gets more thorough RGB lighting, a curveir design that makes it more comfortable to use, and "enhanced" textures for the thumb and side grips. Like the standard Glaive, the Pro variant gets customizable thumb grips that attach to the side of the mouse.
The biggest change, however, is a Pixart PMW3391 optical sensor that goes up to 18,000DPI, or 2,000DPI more than the standard Glaive. You get a total of seven buttons, onboard memory for storing profiles on-device, 1000Hz polling rate, and a two-year warranty.
The Ironclaw RGB Wireless also has the same Pixart PMW3391 sensor, but it works wirelessly — with battery life of 16 hours via Corsair's sub-1ms 2.4GHz Slipstream tech. You'll be able to eke that out to 24 hours by disabling the backlighting options, and those numbers double when you switch to Bluetooth mode.
Like all Corsair RGB products, the Glaive and Ironclaw tie into the company's iCUE software for seamless lighting control, button customization, and setting up macros. I'm using a K95 RGB Platinum and a Polaris MM800 mouse pad with the Glaive RGB Pro, and it's great to use iCUE to set up synchronized lighting effects on all three products.
The Glaive RGB Pro is now available for $69.99, and the Ironclaw RGB Wireless is hitting shelves for $79.99.
