When it comes to the best mechanical keyboards we really like what Corsair has out there. There are many options you can choose from that would all be great. The Corsair K95 RGB Platinum XT mechanical gaming keyboard is just another superior option, and right now it's down to $159.99 at Amazon. This is a $40 discount and a match for the keyboard's lowest price ever, which it originally hit on Black Friday. It more regularly sells for around $200 with drops to $180. Today's deal won't last long and we probably won't see it again for a few months.

Corsair has a lot of members of the K95 lineup, but none of them are as fully loaded as this one. The XT is very new and comes with a ton of amazing options. For one thing, it has per-key individual RGB backlighting with full customization, vibrant lighting effects, and dynamic responses. There's also a 19-zone LightEdge across the top of the keyboard that you can customize as well.

It uses precision-molded 1.5mm thick 104-key PBT double-shot keycaps that resist wear and won't fade over time. Unless you're deep into mechanical keyboards and want to customize your own keycaps, this is as close as you can get to a really great keycap set.

The keyboard also has six dedicated macro keys that are fully programmable and can give you an edge while gaming. These can also be designed to execute complex commands. Link up with Elgato's Stream Deck software, which is usually reserved for the Stream Deck, and you can use the macro keys to execute special content creation and streaming commands if that's what you're into. This is a really important feature if you consider yourself a content creator. This keyboard essentially has the Stream Deck Mini built into it, giving you an extra $80 value if that's a device you've thought about using.

The mechanical switches are the Cherry MX Speed XT Silver switches with hyper-fast 1.2mm actuation and reliability up to 100 million keystrokes. You'll also get a cushioned leatherette palm rest so your hands don't get fatigued.

This is a lot of money to spend on a keyboard. Although it's probably worth it if you want the best of the best, there are other version of the K95 mechanical keyboard that go for a lot less. In fact, we recently saw this K95 Platinum keyboard drop to $110 in late January if you want to keep an eye out.
