The smart plugs are going for closer to $25 individually, so you're saving $15 total buying the 3-pack versus buying three plugs. If you use a smart home wtih Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, or Apple HomeKit, you can use voice commands to control these plugs. This is particularly useful for lights because once the plug is connected to your smart home you can just say "Alexa, turn on the bedroom lights" and you don't have to flip a switch.
