Conan Exiles gets pets and taming update, new cosmetics in tow
Ride that tiger.
Conan Exiles is an addictive game which still suffers from some serious performance issues on Xbox One X and other platforms. However, that hasn't stopped it from becoming quite the sensation. Recently, Funcom announced that Conan Exiles is now the best-selling and fastest-selling game in the company's history.
Conan Exiles is an online survival game either played from the first-person or third-person perspective. While the title features numerous characters and mysteries to uncover, it still revolves around gathering resources, learning new schematics, and crafting better gear or shelter. Starting off with nothing more than a stone house, you'll eventually be able to build entire cities from "Black Ice" with dangerous siege weaponry.
This week, Conan Exiles will get the long-awaited "Pets and Taming" update on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. It's already available on PC. According to the developer, "In this update, free for everyone who owns the game, players finally get the chance to tame animals and use them in battle or even build a farm where they can produce materials for you." That's not all though. The update also adds a new dungeon called "Midnight Grove" and a new religion allowing players to summon the massive flying avatar of "Jhebbal Sag". Jhebbal Sag is basically a giant demon bat.
If you really want to get into spirit of taming animals, the "Savage Frontier Pack" also coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on October 17, 2018. As with the other cosmetic packs, this paid download unlocks more pet skins, new equipment, and new building pieces. It also costs $9.99 for all players. PC players can download it today though.
