Cities: Skylines' art deco DLC features stylish structures on Xbox One
You can make buildings look even better with the Content Creator Pack.
Today, Paradox Interactive released a new add-on for Cities: Skylines on Xbox One called the "Content Creator Pack". This pack gives players a new set of stylish structures, service buildings, and neighborhood styles to add to their towns. Unlike the game, this DLC was created by two community modelers from the Cities: Skylines fan base.
The Content Creator Pack is available on the Microsoft Store for $9.99, and is also included as part of the season pass. According to Paradox Interactive, the pack includes a series of new buildings styled in the classic art deco fashion.
Cities: Skylines on Xbox One is also receiving a free content update for all players called "Match Day". Match Day is a new feature which allows mayors to add sports stadiums to their towns.
Cities: Skylines is a modern take on the classic city simulator. The game introduces new gameplay elements to realize the thrill and hardships of creating and maintaining a real city whilst expanding on some well-established tropes of the city building experience. We've extensively played the title and believe that this game surpasses even the earlier Sim City games.
In our review we wrote, "few modern city-building games approach Skylines in terms of quality and depth, and it's awesome to see a smaller developer step in and prove that there's still an audience for this type of game, even if the big players weren't willing to provide it." EA might be too caught up in nickel-and-diming consumers but at least the genre lives on in more capable hands.
