VR as an idea is exciting, but actually getting to try it out yourself is another thing entirely. A lot of people don't know what they're missing up until they strap a head-mounted display (HMD) onto their face, and from there it can easily become a bit of an obsession.
Windows Central forum member John1521 recently created a thread in the Windows Central VR & AR Lounge asking other what exactly brought their attention into the world of VR.
Whether it was Windows Mixed Reality (WMR), Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, or any of the mobile headsets, John1521 is curious to know what platform and what type of experience you first enjoyed. On a personal level, it was the feeling of actually being inside a game that brought John1521 around, but there are plenty more answers to this great question.
