Playing more intensive games requires newer components, be it a processor, motherboard or GPU upgrade. Adding new components to a PC allows for enhanced productivity and immersive media consumption. Most owners try and get this step done as soon as they notice sluggish performance or a "bottleneck."

Trusted Windows Central community ambassador Josiah23 started a thread on our forum to see how long readers take between PC upgrades.

A question for anyone in the community. What is the longest you have gone without upgrading your PC as a whole or without upgrading components? Do you upgrading quarterly? Yearly? Every few years? Maybe you don't remember when I'd say I upgrade something from one of my two rigs every few months. I'm really impatient when it comes to buying PC components.

So, we want to know how long you usually last before installing new, more powerful components. Do you tend to make smaller upgrades or hold off for a full system rebuild? Head over to our forum and join the conversation!
