- This will be Dontnod's first self-published game.
Dontnod Entertainment shared the first teaser trailer for the upcoming narrative psychological thriller game Twin Mirror during today's PC Gaming Show. The trailer introduces protagonist Sam Higgs, a former investigative journalist who returns to his hometown of Basswood, West Virginia, and is forced to confront his past and the town's dark secrets.
This is the first game Dontnod has self published and will be similar to the studio's Life Is Strange games in that the outcome of the story will be shaped by player decisions and how Sam interacts with the game's other characters. Sam has keen deductive reasoning and memory visualization skills that will help him untangle the intrigue playing out in Bassword, elements that make the game sound similar to Frogwares' Sherlock Holmes series.
Twin Mirror will release this year on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The digital PC release will be an Epic Games Store exclusive for one year.
