Check out behind-the-scenes footage of designing the Cyberpunk 2077 Xbox One X
A lot of work went into designing the limited edition console.
What you need to know
- Microsoft is releasing a limited edition Cyberpunk 2077-themed Xbox One X.
- The company has now given fans a behind-the-scenes look at its design and creation.
- Fans can get their hands on this console in June.
No matter what you think of the design, a lot of effort went into ensuring the limited edition Cyberpunk 2077-themed Xbox One X was a true representation of the game. Microsoft has released 11-minute video with some behind-the-scenes footage on the console's creation by Xbox Design Director Monique Chatterjee, who was given the task of creating an authentic cyberpunk console. There's even a glimpse of some unused designs.
Xbox prides itself in making top-quality limited edition consoles, and this one is no different. Only 45,000 units are being produced worldwide. If you don't manage to grab one once it goes on sale in June, you might be looking to spend a lot of money trying to get it from scalpers and resellers online.
Cyberpunk 2077 is set to release on September 17, 2020 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. CD Projekt RED confirmed that it will support Smart Delivery, so you can upgrade to the Xbox Series X version for free when it releases.
In other Cyberpunk 2077 news, it will apparently feature first-person sex scenes and genital customization according to its ESRB rating. Because of course it will.
Take to the streets of Night City in style.
Some call it ugly. Some call it beautiful. However you feel, the limited edition Cyberpunk 2077 Xbox One X console definitely embodies the game it's designed after. It features custom laser-etched detailing, glow-in-the-dark graffiti, and LED lighting.
