Check out this amazing Cyberpunk 2077-inspired 3D printer from Prusa Research
When you mix my two favorite hobbies, you know I am going to squee about it. This thing is dope!
What you need to know
- Cyberpunk 2077 is the hottest game around right now
- The Prusa Mk3s is the hottest 3D printer around right now.
- Prusa has created a one-of-a-kind "CyberPrusa" in honor of the release of the game.
- It looks so amazing I might cry.
Despite all of the bugs and weirdness, Cyberpunk 2077 is the number one game right now. Everyone has been excited for the release of this huge open-world game, and now that it's finally here, it's time to celebrate, and the 3D printing company, Prusa Research, has found the perfect way to do just that.
Prusa already makes one of the best 3D printers available — in fact, it won our best award in our review — but the Mk3s looks even better once it's had the Cyberpunk treatment. As you can see in the video, the team stripped a Mk3s down and painted all the metal parts, then reprinted all the plastic parts with added Cyberpunk-themed goodness. I love all the small details that went into this build, especially the little pipes here and there and the awesome looking Cyber-lady on the top of the print head. Even the filament holder got the cyberpunk treatment!
Now for some good and bad news. The bad news is you can't buy Prusa's Cyberpunk themed Mk3s, but the good news is you can make one yourself! Prusa has made all of the files you need to make the alterations available to download over at prusprinters.org. Some of them are very detailed, so you may want to pick up an SLA printer for those. The main parts, though, can be printed on a standard FDM printer.
The standard for next-gen.
Cyberpunk 2077 is the latest project from CD PROJEKT RED, the developers behind The Witcher 3. To follow up the game that defined a generation of gaming, Cyberpunk 2077 needed to be huge, ambitious, and captivating. Thankfully, CD PROJEKT RED checked off all the boxes.
The best sub-$1000 3D printer you can buy
The Prusa Mk3 is the pinnacle of open source printing, combining quality 3D parts and quality hardware and software; nothing else really comes close. Now you can make it even better with a custom paint job and printed files.
