Call of Duty: Warzone is getting some gargantuan action with the imminent Operation Monarch, and the developers have shared more about what players can expect from this towering crossover event.
The developers shared on Tuesday that Operation Monarch, which is a limited-time mode running from May 11 to May 25, will actually allow players to earn a special killstreak, temporarily taking control of Godzilla or King Kong for a unique attack.
Operation Monarch is a 60-player event during Season 3, so the developers are recommending that players have a full quad squad before hitting the ground. Both Godzilla and King Kong are "Protector Titans" but because they've become enraged, they'll be dangerous, attacking players within range. During special Titan Frenzy attacks, where the two giant monsters become enraged, players will be able to deal damage. The team that deals the most damage will earn the S.C.R.E.A.M. Device.
The S.C.R.E.A.M. Device allows players to use either Godzilla or King Kong to attack other squads across the map, using either a Heat Breath attack or a ground pound, respectively. The developers note that multiple S.C.R.E.A.M. Devices cannot be used in rapid succession, so timing will be everything.
There's also three special limited-time packs for players to grab in the store during this event. The packs are themed after Godzilla, King Kong, and Mechagodzilla.
If you're interested in the special cosmetics accompanying Operation Monarch, you'll want to grab some Call of Duty: Warzone Points.
