Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's Blackout mode hits the Mixer HypeZone
Mixer's HypeZone has expanded to include the latest battle royale sensation to hit the gaming scene, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's Blackout mode.
Late last year, Mixer added a new experience to its repertoire with HypeZone, a dedicated channel for supported games that cycles through the most intense moments from streamers as they happen. HypeZone was built primarily for battle royale titles like Fortnite and PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG), and it recently added the latest battle royale juggernaut to its lineup: Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's Blackout mode.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 was only just released, but you can head to mixer.com/HypeZoneBlackOps4 to catch the intense final moments of each battle royale fight from the oodles of streamers that are playing Activision's entry in the genre.
As for whether Blackout will dethrone Fortnite as the top dog in the battle royale space, that remains to be seen. But it's certain to give Epic's shooter a run for its money with the backing of the Call of Duty fan base.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC starting at $59.99.
