Bunker Buster - Review
Bunker Buster is a aerial bombing game for your Windows Phone that not only tests your bomb dropping skills but also your concentration. The multi-level game has you playing the role of not only the bomber's pilot but also the bombardier.
The game offers a wide variety of targets, terrain and aircraft. Throw in leaderboards, a handful of rewards, and comic styled graphics and Bunker Buster has the potential to be a welcomed addition to the Windows Phone gaming library.

Game Layout
As mentioned, Bunker Buster is a multi-level/chapter game (32 if my count is correct) that progressively becomes more challenging. From the main menu, you can access local high scores, rewards, a help section, and gaming options (music on/off).
As you enter the game, you'll see the chapter layout and then receive your mission directives. Mission directives basically tell you what to blow up and what not to.
The game screen has your statistics running across the bottom of the screen that include fuel levels, bomb count, lives and score. Controls for the aircraft rest on either side of the screen.
One button controls your altitude (left) and the other button drops the bombs (right). Just remember with Bunker Buster gravity works and if you don't press the altitude button with frequency, you'll crash and burn.

Game Play
The first level of the game is easy, almost too easy, but it gives you a chance to get a feel for the controls. Just remember you won't be able to fly at maximum altitude all the time.
Bombs do fall at a trajectory related to your speed, allowing you do drop at angles. As you progress through the levels/chapters additional aircraft will become unlocked and the terrain more challenging.
Not only will you be asked to take out enemy bunkers and weapons but you'll also be asked to avoid blasting friendlies. Not only will you fly over wide open spaces but you'll also be asked to fly through caves. This is where mastering the altitude control comes in handy.
All in all, game play was entertaining, challenging, frustrating, and mildly addictive. If found myself saying "one more try" with frequency as I flew into a cave's ceiling.
Overall Impression
Bunker Busters is a fun Windows Phone game that runs the gambit of reactions. Graphically, it is well presented (the comic book graphics are really nice). Game play is progressively challenging that can get you hooked on the game.
My only nit is that because the screen is so narrow (based on the size of the game layout) you don't have much recovery time as your plane begins to loose altitude. You really have to stay on top of the altitude controls. It adds to the challenge but it can also add to the frustration.
There is a free trial version available for Bunker Buster and the full version runs $1.99. You can download both here (opens Zune) at the Marketplace.
