Bleeding Edge to receive new fighter Mekko next week, additional game modes and fighter in development
While it's still early days, there's more coming for Bleeding Edge.
What you need to know
- Bleeding Edge released on March 24.
- Ninja Theory has provided an update on the additions coming in the future.
- New game modes are being explored, while another fighter is in development.
While we've known for a while that the next character coming to Bleeding Edge is the cyborg dolphin Mekko, Ninja Theory has provided an update on what else players can expect over the next few weeks. To start, the developers have been working extensively on fixing issues of lag that players were reporting, with improved matchmaking based on connection strength. Mekko will also be added to the roster next week.
Further out, Ninja Theory is working on new game modes and another fighter is currently in development. Custom and ranked game modes are being explored and another map is also on the way. We don't know exactly when these additions will roll out but they are coming.
We'll be sure to provide an update as these new additions are further details down the line. In the meantime, if you haven't checked out Bleeding Edge yet, you can take a look at our review from Senior Xbox Editor Jez Corden. Bleeding Edge is available on Xbox One and PC, as well as Project xCloud testing for Android.
