Scarlet Deer Inn
Scarlet Deer Inn is a narrative-adventure platformer developed and published by Attu Games. You play as Elise, a young mother living a simple life in a humble village with her two children.
However, Elise's peaceful life takes a dark turn as she gets pulled into a grim adventure where she will explore a world inspired by Slavic folklore and avoid the murderous ire of horrifying monsters.
Sleight of Hand
Sleight of Hand is a third-person stealth action game with deckbuilder-elements created and published by RiffRaff Games. You play as a mysterious magic-wielding rogue sneaking through the corrupt city of Taboo to take revenge on a coven you used to be a part of.
To accomplish this take, you will need to stealthily take down foes with a combination of magical artifacts and magic playing cards to manipulate the environment and turn the hands of fate in your favor.
Smite 2
Smite 2 is a sequel to Hi-Rez Studios' long-running MOBA where players play as legendary heroes, gods and monsters, and duke it out in glorious team-based battles. This game will feature the same third-person combat and characters as the first game but refined with new gameplay mechanics and enhanced visual fidelity as this game will be developed in the Unreal 5 Engine.
South of Midnight
South of Midnight is a mysterious third-person adventure being developed by Compulsion Games, the studio behind 2013's Contrast and 2018's We Happy Few. This game takes place in the American Deep South, and you play as a young woman called Hazel.
After a supernatural disaster damages her hometown, Hazel is chosen to become a Weaver — a magic caster who has the power to heal spirits and broken bonds. You are tasked on a quest to find the cause of this incident, heal the damage caused to the spirit world, and banish any violent, evil spirits that have crossed over to the world of the living.
Spirit of the North 2
Spirit of the North 2 is an action-adventure game developed by Infuse Studio and published by Merge Games. You play as a red fox that has been cut off from its home and is now journeying through a ruined world to get back. With the aid of an intelligent raven, you will travel across many mystical locales to find your way home, while embarking on a quest to legendary guardian beasts along the way.
State of Decay 3
State of Decay 3 is also a bit of an enigma, offering us a cinematic trailer and not much else. Set in a more wintry environment, there are possibilities that you'll have to manage your internal temperature in addition to other survival needs, as the plague seems to have now spread to animals and not just humans.
The Last Night
The Last Night is an upcoming "2D open-world" title from Odd Tales Games. The neon-blasted cyberpunk title features action-infiltration-oriented gameplay, complete with a branching narrative and stunning art that combines retro-2D sprites and modern lighting with 3D elements.
There's no launch date listed at the time of writing, but The Last Night is seeking investment due to some developmental issues.
The Explorator
The Explorator is an FPS/adventure game created and published by Remnant Games Studio. You play as an explorer journeying to the treacherous island of Ospolis as legends tell that the ancient city of Atlantis and all its treasures are hidden beneath Ospolis' surface.
The Outer Worlds 2
The Outer Worlds 2 is a sequel to The Outer Worlds, a first-person RPG created by Obsidian Entertainment. Not much information is currently known about this title except that it, will feature more crew members, new galaxies to explore, and the same dark humor as the first game.
The Thaumaturge
The Thaumaturge is an upcoming story-rich RPG set in a cold, dark what-if world of Warsaw in 1905. You play as Wiktor Szulski the Thaumaturge, a man gifted with the power to peer into the hearts of man and tame demonic spirits called Salutors which prey on human souls.
Your goal as the Thaumaturge is to investigate the city of Warsaw for signs of Salutors to exorcise from human hosts, uncover conspiracies surrounding the city's corruption, and find your estranged family for a long-overdue reunion.
The Wolf Among Us 2
The Wolf Among Us 2, the long-awaited sequel to Telltale's narrative-focused adventure game, The Wolf Among Us, has finally been unveiled with a tentative release date for 2023. This series tells the story of Bigby Wolf, the former sheriff of "Fabletown" — a secret community within the streets of New York City that houses characters from fairy tales and folklore.
The first game had Bigby track down an enigmatic serial killer murdering the citizens of "Fabletown," and it looks like Bigby will once again be pulled into another murder mystery in the sequel whilst also trying to keep a leash on his own inner wolf.
Threads of Time
Threads of Time is an upcoming indie JRPG inspired by well-regarded classics of the genre such as Chrono Trigger and the 2D-era Final Fantasy games. The game takes place in a fantasy world where the fabric of time and space is being threatened by unknown evil forces looking to destroy it.
To save the world, you must use magic to time travel across various periods in history, recruit powerful warriors from each era to aid in your quest, and find out where these villains are hiding so you can put a stop to them.
