Battlefield 2042 vehicle list: Every tank, helicopter, jet, and more
Catch a ride!
One of the main things that sets Battlefield apart from other shooter games and makes it one of the best Xbox shooters available is its suite of military vehicles. Things are no different in Battlefront 2042, as there are a wide variety of different vehicles to choose from when you spawn (you can also drop them at your location on demand using the Battlefield 2042 vehicle call-in system).
Before you jump into the Battlefield 2042 beta, it's a good idea to know what types of vehicles you'll be encountering (or using) in the field. Here's a full list of every Battlefield 2042 vehicle we know of so far, as well as an explanation about the role that each one fills in combat situations.
Battlefield goes back to the future
Battlefield 2042 debuts Electronic Arts' next-generation vision for the military shooter, supporting up to 128 players, the largest-ever maps, devastatingly destructive weather systems, and more.

Battlefield 2042 vehicles: Tanks and armored vehicles
Battlefield 2042's tanks and armored vehicles fill the role of supporting infantry soldiers with heavy firepower and transportation.
The most dangerous and powerful ground vehicles are the M1A5 Tank and the T28 Tank, both of which come with heavy 120mm cannons as well as a coaxial machine gun for engaging foot soldiers. The tanks also come with two additional gunner positions and a spotter position for other players that enter the tank. To counter locked-on explosives and hide its position, the tanks can deploy smoke as a countermeasure.
The E6-JGR Recon (and potentially the Hovercraft vehicle) fill the role of transporting soldiers around the map. Its light armor is effective against most forms of small arms fire, but explosives and other heavy weapons can destroy it quickly. However, its high speed helps it avoid damage, and there's also a minigun on the top of the vehicle that a second player can control. This weapon shreds infantry targets and is ideal for providing covering fire when deploying troops.

The EBAA Wildcat is a specialized anti-aircraft vehicle that's armed with a deadly anti-aircraft minigun and missiles that can lock onto aircraft. It's well-armored, but is considerably less durable than a main battle tank. Notably, its minigun is also effective against infantry targets. Like tanks, it can deploy smoke to throw off the tracking on incoming explosives or hide its exact position.
Battlefield 2042 vehicles: Helicopters
Battlefield 2042's helicopters are designed to fill the role of close air support and rapid transportation.
The deadliest helicopters in the game are the AH640GX Apache Warchief Attack Helicopter and the KA-520 Super Hokum, both of which feature manually-aimed rockets and missiles that can lock onto vehicles. These helicopters have medium armor, speed, and maneuverability, making them a very well-balanced aircraft.
If you want to transport troops around the map, your best bet is to use a transport helicopter like the MI-240 Super Hind or the MV-38 Condor (this is technically a VTOL jet, but it flies like a helicopter). These helicopters have heavy armor and can take a lot of damage, but also have the slowest top speed and the least amount of maneuverability. They don't have heavy armament, but there are miniguns and grenade launchers that players can take control of to provide devastating cover fire for troops that are disembarking.
Finally, scout helicopters like the MD540 Nightbird are the best when it comes to speed and agility, but they have poor armor and can't carry as many troops as a transport helicopter. Their armament is solid, however, featuring dual miniguns and rockets that are very effective against infantry and lightly-armored vehicles.
All helicopters can deploy flares to counter incoming missiles that are locked onto the aircraft.
Battlefield 2042 vehicles: Jets
Battlefield 2042's jets fill a variety of roles, including performing strafing runs against ground targets, destroying enemy helicopters, and keeping the skies clear of other jets.
Jets like the F-35 and the SU-57 are armed with deadly miniguns and missiles that can lock onto enemy vehicles, dealing heavy damage if they hit. They are decently armored, but will go down relatively quickly to a few missiles or sustained fire from an EBAA Wildcat anti-aircraft vehicle. Like helicopters, jets can deploy flares to counter incoming missiles.
Battlefield 2042 vehicles: Civilian vehicles
Finally, Battlefield 2042 includes a small assortment of civilian vehicles, including a pickup truck, a rickshaw, and an ATV. These vehicles can be destroyed very quickly with most weapons, especially heavy ones, but they are very fast and can be used to rapidly transport troops around in a pinch. Because of how vulnerable they are, it's best to avoid combat entirely while using them.
