Battlefield 2042: List of all weapons
Familiarize yourself with the arsenal in Electronic Arts' near-future warfare.
Battlefield 2042 is on the way, with developer DICE enlisting the aid of several teams across EA Worldwide Studios to aid in crafting a massive, near-future, first-person shooter. Depending on how the rollout goes, it may even become one of the best Xbox games available. Being a huge Battlefield game means there's also a roster of weapons and for players to choose from. As such, we're tracking the full list of weapons in Battlefield 2042.
We've also broken down the different classes of weapons, so if you're a newcomer to Battlefield or shooters in general, you can get an idea of what each class means. Instead of going by any leaks, we're opting to include solely the weapons we know for sure are in Battlefield 2042, regardless of whether they're in the beta or being held until the final game.

- PBX-45 -SMG
- AK-24 - Assault
- M5A3 - Assault
- LCMG - LMG
- DM7 - Marksman
- SWS-10 - Sniper
- MCS-880 - Utility
- G57 - Secondary
Battlefield 2042 weapons SMG
The SMG class covers submachine guns, weapons that are useful at close range with a high rate of fire. Their accuracy falls off rapidly over distance, and it can also be difficult to manage the recoil and get a precise hit.
Battlefield 2042 weapons Assault
The Assault class covers assault rifles, and is essentially the workhorse class. Assault rifles have a decent range, rate of fire and accuracy. They're not perfect but they're not awful for any particular situation either.
Battlefield 2042 weapons LMG
LMG refers to light machine guns, a class of weapons perfect for laying down surpressing fire. Huge clip size, strong rate of fire and range are offset by the extremely long reload time, meaning choosing when to reload is a critical decision.
Battlefield 2042 weapons Marksman
The Marksman class covers battle rifles, weapons that aren't really sniper rifles but aren't assault rifles either. This weapons are solid choices for mid-to-long range combat but with quick reflexes, can also be used at closer ranges when being careful.
Battlefield 2042 weapons Sniper
The Sniper class, fittingly enough, covers sniper rifles. Meant exclusively for long-range engagements, a sniper is perfect for picking foes off at a distance but border on useless in up-close fights.

Battlefield 2042 weapons Utility
The Utility class is a bit stranger, seemingly covering shotguns and other weapons that don't fit into the above classes. A shotgun is perfect for close-up fights, instantly bringing down enemies with body shots, though the usefulness falls off at longer distances.
Battlefield 2042 weapons Secondary
Secondary weapons are meant as a backup, something to swap to when your current gun is out of ammo. While they aren't perfect, a secondary handgun can be the difference between life and death in a big shootout.
More to come
As an ongoing multiplayer game, and one that's only in beta, it's likely that more guns will be added to Battlefield 2042. If this happens, we'll be sure to update this list as time goes on. More maps will also likely be added, so we'll be updating our list of Battlefield 2042 maps as well.
*Battlefield 2042 is set to launch on Nov. 19, 2021 for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, PC, PS5 and PS4. *
