This awesome Halo: Reach PC mod adds Warzone to Halo: Reach
Did you enjoy Warzone in Halo 5? You'll love this!
Halo: Reach on PC has arrived, and the modding community is already hard at work creating fun, interesting ways to play the game that the official experience doesn't provide. One such mod recreates Halo 5's Warzone mode in Halo: Reach, allowing people who enjoyed the chaos of vehicles, power weapons, and enemy AI all at once to experience it in a Halo: Reach format. Here's everything you need to know about the mod, including what it does specifically, where to get it, and who made it.

Though not perfect, Halo: Reach's PC port is well done, and its open to the modding community, too, which is how awesome projects like the one in this article are possible.
What does the mod do?
This mod transforms the Unearthed Firefight map into a massive battleground, featuring 8v8 Capture the Flag with tons of vehicles, power weapons, and Covenant AI enemies that constantly respawn and will fight both teams of players throughout the entire match. This combination of sandbox elements makes the mode feel very similar to Halo 5's Warzone, which featured a similar focus on chaotic combat with both enemy players and enemy AI around objectives. For a great look at what a match on the map looks like, check out the gameplay video above (mind the profanity).
Where can you get the mod, and who made it?
The mod can be found on this post of the r/HaloMods subreddit, which features two different places where you can get the file. Once you extract the file, make sure to read the readme document in order to see the instructions for installation. It's a very simple process, as all you'll need to do is replace some files in your Halo: Reach game directory.
The mod was made by Gamecheat13, who is arguably the leading Halo community member when it comes to the topic of modding. Aside from his YouTube channel, he also has a Twitter account where he frequently talks about what he's working on and modding in general. If you're interested in the wider Halo modding scene, you should definitely keep an eye on what he has to say.
Your thoughts
What do you think of this mod? Personally, I think it looks badass, and I can't wait to get some friends online at some point so we can have some fun on it. Halo 5's Warzone mode was a great concept, and it's awesome to see that the modding community has found a way to recreate it in a past title.
Halo: Reach on PC is available now for $10 on both Steam and the Windows 10 Store.
