Try it out right now.
What you need to know
- Assassin's Creed Odyssey is an open-world adventure game.
- It features a lot of quests and now you can create even more.
- A "Story Creator Mode" is now available in beta.
- You can purchase the game for $25 on Amazon.
Assassin's Creed Odyssey is the latest entry in the staple franchise which takes place hundreds of years before the establishment of the Assassin's Brotherhood. According to Ubisoft, Assassin's Creed Odyssey takes player choice to the next level.
Today, Ubisoft revealed a new "Story Creator Mode" for the game. The feature is a quest-creation tool that's free for all owners of the game. Keep in mind that it's entering open beta today, so there might be a number of issues. The publisher said that the Story Creator Mode allows players to build their own stories and to play quests created by other players.
Quests made in this mode are available on Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4. While the game itself doesn't feature cross-save, it's great to see that quests will be. It'll be interesting to see what types of missions gamers create and post online. The toolset is quite advanced, and hopefully will be a staple feature in Assassin's Creed games, or open-world Ubisoft games in general, going forward.
Assassin's Creed Odyssey is currently available for $25 on Amazon. While the game may not be as great as Assassin's Creed Origins, it's still a compelling experience which features more quests. Be sure to check it out if you haven't already.
