AOC launches an affordable 144Hz curved gaming monitor with AMD FreeSync
AOC announced the AGON AG322QCX, a new 32-inch QHD gaming display with AMD FreeSync tech, 144Hz refresh rate and a price tag of just $429.99.
There are numerous gaming displays on the market and AOC has added yet another model to the catalog of monitors. The new AG322QCX is an affordable but highly capable display sporting a resolution of 2560 x 1440 (QHD), a refresh rate of 144Hz, and support for AMD's FreeSync technology, which helps the company keep costs low resulting in a $429.99 price tag. Oh, and it's curved too.
This VA panel offers some nice colors, as well as a response time of around 4ms. It won't be as eye-popping as a more expensive IPS panel, but you're also not sacrificing said response time, which is ideal for gamers who require an ultra-rapid experience. As is the case with most gaming monitors today, AOC is including the company's own FlickerFree tech, as well as a LowBlue Mode, both will aid in combating eye strain.
FreeSync vs G-Sync: Which is best for you?
The AMD FreeSync technology pairs up the compatible GPU with the monitor to offer an adaptive refresh rate, which will match whatever is being outputted by the graphics processor. This works to minimize input lag and remove screen tear, which is often endured when the monitor is unable to refresh quick enough to match the number of frames being thrown at it by the GPU. For ports, we're looking at VGA port, two HDMI ports, two Display Ports, and finally two USB 3.0 ports.
Overall, for $429.99, it's a great value monitor for PC gamers.
