Anthem launches on Xbox One and PC
Everyone can pretend to be Iron Man now!
Anthem is a shared-world third-person shooter from BioWare. BioWare is the studio behind famous franchises like Dragon Age and Mass Effect. The title launched on February 22, but if you're on PC and an Origin Access Premier subscriber, you gained access to the full game last Friday. Just like Destiny, the developer wants to support the game for the next ten years.
As you may have heard on social media and other outlets, Anthem isn't the polished experience many had hoped for. There are a number of frustrating issues ranging from performance to other bugs. Luckily, just before it's official launch, BioWare released a 5.2 GB patch for Xbox One X and other platforms. While it fixes a lot of problems, there is still a lot of work to be done.
In our review, we said, "Despite the countless issues I have with Anthem, I would be lying if I said I haven't enjoyed my time with it. That being said, I think it would be best to wait for a while before purchasing Anthem, at least until we see what this update in March entails. While the story and writing can't be fixed in the short term, most of the other problems can."

A new franchise to play with
Anthem is an entirely new franchise for EA, with new game mechanics and new mythos to explore. Its third-person format with emphasis on flying exosuits is something new and exciting. Let's hope it can live up to the hype.
