At Inside Xbox for Gamescom 2019, the Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition release date was announced: the game is aiming to release on November 14, 2019. It's coming to both the Microsoft Store and Steam, with full cross-platform play between the two versions.
Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition has everything players fell in love with in the base game but expanded to new levels. The unit limit is higher than ever, there's full 4K support, new graphics and animations that allow for better destruction and more. There's a remastered soundtrack and a new campaign called "The Last Khans" which adds 3 new campaigns and 4 new civilizations for players to use in their wars of conquest. The game is included in Xbox Game Pass for PC, which is also a part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
