What you need to know

  • Acer has announced three new gaming monitors releasing in 2022: The Predator X32, Predator X32 FP, and Predator CG48.
  • Pricing will start at $1,999, $1,799, and $2,499 respectively.
  • None of the monitors have hard release dates yet, but be on the lookout during the latter half of 2022 as all three monitors should be released by the time the year's third quarter wraps up.

It's that time of the year again: CES, wherein every company unveils all the cool gadgetry it has coming up. In Acer's case, that means a great many things, including new gaming monitors. Specifically, prepare to set your sights on two new Predator X32 displays (X32 and X32 FP), and the Predator CG48.

Both of the UHD, 32-inch X32 models feature 160Hz refresh rates (165Hz if you overclock the FP variant) and IPS panels that cover 99% of the AdobeRGB color gamut.

The X32 supports NVIDIA G-Sync Ultimate and has three HDMI 2.0 ports, one DisplayPort, USB 3.0 slot, SPK, and audio out. Meanwhile, the X32 FP has four HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort, Type-C port, USB Hub 3.0, USB-B port, SPK, and audio out. Both monitors feature 1000:1 contrast ratios, 1ms response times, no-glare displays, and 178-degree viewing angles. Expect the X32 to drop in North America in Q3 2022 with a starting price of $1,999, while the X32 FP will hit in Q2 2022 starting at $1,799.

And last but not least, there's the Predator CG48. This hulking mass of OLED screen clocks in at 48 inches, packs a 3840x2160 resolution at 138Hz, maxes out at 0.1ms response times (pretty fast!), and has a 135,000:1 contrast ratio. It'll have one HDMI 2.1 port, three HDMI 2.0 ports, one DisplayPort, one Type-C, one USB Type-B, one USB Hub 3.2, SPK, and audio out. You can look forward to this big boy hitting North America in the third quarter of 2022 for a starting price of $2,499.
