Acer's new Predator and Nitro monitors are easy on the eyes, literally
Acer announced new monitors ranging from large curved displays to budget-friendly FHD monitors.

Acer announced three new Predator Series gaming monitors and two new Nitro Series monitors today. The Predator Series includes a 34-inch UWQHD curved monitor in the Predator X34 GS. The Nitro Series monitors are aimed at more casual gamers, though they still offer framerates of up to 170 FPS (overclocked) depending on the model.
The Predator XB273U NV ($550) and Predator XB253Q GW ($430) will be available in North America in January 2021. The Predator X34 GS ($1,000), Nitro XV272U KV ($400), and Nitro XV272 LV ($280) will be available in North America in December 2020. Acer's Predator Series features monitors with high refresh rates and VESA DisplayHDR certifications.
The Predator XB273U NV is a 27-inch QHD display with an IPS panel. It has a 1ms response time and an overclocked refresh rate of 170Hz. It also has RGB LightSense for synching screen colors with music and media.
The Predator XB273U NV is part of the XB2 VisionCAre series, which means that it's designed for eye comfort. It is certified by EyeSafe and filters out blue light. It also has Acer VisionCare 4.0, which incorporates LightSense, AdaptiveLight, ColorSense, and ProxiSense.
The Predator XB253Q GW is a 24.5-inch monitor with NVIDIA G-SYNC support. It can reach an overclocked 280Hz refresh rate and up to a 0.5ms response time. It also supports RGB LightSense.
The Predator X34 GS is a large 34-inch curved monitor. It supports NVIDIA G-SYNC and has a refresh rate of up to 180Hz and a response time of 0.5ms. The monitor supports VESA DisplayHDR 400 and hits 98 percent DCI-P3.

Acer says that the Nitro Series monitors are "ideal for casual gamers that want to get as much value out of their devices as possible." Despite the "casual gamers" moniker, they feature solid specs. Both monitors are Eyesafe-certified as well to reduce eye fatigue.
The Nitro XV272U KV is a 27-inch QHD monitor with up to a 170Hz overclocked refresh rate and a response time of 1ms. It has a Delta E<1 rating and 95 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color spectrum.
The Nitro XV272 LV has a lower FHD resolution of 1920x1080. It gets up to a 165Hz overclocked refresh rate. The monitor has 90 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color spectrum and a Delta E<1 rating.
