9 Neo Geo games hit Windows 10 with Xbox Live achievements
Neo Geo fans rejoice – nine classic titles have hit the Microsoft Store, with Xbox Live achievements, cloud saves and more.
Late last year it was announced that SNK and Hamster's "Arcade Archives (ACA) Neo Geo" series would be making its way to Xbox One. Re-releasing a collection of existing Neo Geo games for the current generation, these emulated versions revived software from a near thirty-year-old system.
Following the revival of 47 Neo Geo titles on Xbox One, nine Neo Geo titles have now appeared on Windows 10, via the integrated Microsoft Store. Priced at $7.99 per title, you'll be getting the nostalgia of the games in all their glory, with the benefits of Xbox Live integration.
Here's a complete list of all nine titles, currently available on Windows 10:
- ACA NEOGEO NAM-1975
- ACA NEOGEO SENGOKU
- ACA NEOGEO FATAL FURY
- ACA NEOGEO METAL SLUG
- ACA NEOGEO WORLD HEROES
- ACA NEOGEO LAST RESORT
- ACA NEOGEO OVER TOP
- ACA NEOGEO ART OF FIGHTING
- ACA NEOGEO THE KING OF FIGHTER '94
While the features of Xbox Live support vary from title to title, all of the ACA games offer support for Xbox Live sign-in, Xbox Live achievements (at 1000G each) and Xbox Live cloud saves between systems. Sadly, despite their release for Xbox One back in February, Play Anywhere support isn't offered between the platforms. These games also run in their original aspect ratios, meaning you'll be seeing black bars down either side of the screen.
Regardless, for any Neo Geo enthusiasts out there, click the store links above to purchase the games and find out more. It's unclear if more Neo Geo games are set to hit the store going forward. Will you be picking up any of these titles? Make sure to let us know in the comments section.
