Sprint begins to roll out Windows Phone 8.1 update to HTC 8XT

Owners of the Sprint HTC 8XT should be on the lookout for a new, and long awaited, over-the-air update to the smartphone. Windows Central has received tips that claim the long awaited Windows Phone 8.1 update for the device began to roll out today.

The update to the smartphone comes just a week after Sprint started rolling out the same software for the Samsung ATIV S Neo smartphone. The wireless carrier is no longer selling either device on its website, but a company spokesperson told us that Sprint does expect to sell new Windows Phone devices in the near future.
