Xbox One S leaks ahead of E3 and it looks awesome! [Update: May be priced at $299]
The Xbox One slim is real. And here it is.
Microsoft's E3 2016 media briefing isn't due to start until tomorrow, but that hasn't stopped more information on their upcoming announcement surfacing online ahead of the conference.
NeoGAF user KawabataSan has posted an image of what appears to show a slimmer Xbox One on a Microsoft web page, one day ahead of the Xbox E3 media briefing. According to the leaked image, the 'Xbox One S' is 40% smaller than the standard Xbox One console, features a 2TB internal hard drive and streamlined controller. Unlike the original console, the Xbox One S is also able to stand vertically. The console is also able to output videos at 4K resolution.
No further details were provided alongside the image, but we should expect more information over the next 24 hours. If like many other supposed E3 announcements this year, we'll update this post with any following leaks.
Update: Another image of the Xbox One S has appeared online, this time showing the console standing vertically
Update 2: An online group called 'NerdLeaks', known for a number of credible leaks, claims the Xbox One S will retail for $299 in the United States.
