Ghost Recon Breakpoint trailer reveals villain's plan, coming to Google Stadia

What you need to know

  • Ghost Recon Breakpoint is coming to Google Stadia in November.
  • The game got a new trailer today which details the story.
  • It's launching for Xbox One and other platforms in October.
  • You can preorder it for $60 through Amazon.

Recently, Ubisoft unveiled Ghost Recon Breakpoint for Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4. The game is a story-driven co-op adventure which also pushes the boundaries of storytelling and features The Punisher's Jon Bernthal. Many fans thought that Ghost Recon Breakpoint would be an expansion for Ghost Recon Wildlands, but it's an entirely new experience. The title is designed to push you further than you've ever gone in a Ghost Recon game. Instead of the usual organization and certainty of your actions, you're being hunted by a powerful enemy and thrown onto the dangerous Pacific island of Auroa.

The title is coming to Google Stadia in November, and the publisher released a new trailer showcasing the story. It focuses on Bernthal again as he reveals what his motives for taking over Auroa are. The trailer can be seen below.

Stadia is launching in 2019, but only the "Sadia Pro" subscription will be available. For $10, you can stream gameplay up to 4K resolution at 60 frames per second, but you have to purchase games separately. In 2020, a free "Stadia Base" membership will be available, but you'll still have to buy your games because it doesn't give you any.

The game should launch on October 4, starting at $60. It's going to be Xbox One X Enhanced because the team told us it runs at "upscaled 4K and 30 frames per second on PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X." As with any Ubisoft title, there will be a multitude of editions, including a Ubisoft Store exclusive collector's edition which appears to feature the villain.
